  4. Wake up at a consistent time, even on weekends, rather than only focusing on bedtime.

If you're doing most of this consistently and still waking up exhausted, it's worth ruling out underlying issues like sleep apnea with a doctor — that's a distinct medical condition that lifestyle adjustments alone won't fix.
